Entry Form, Rules and Regulations

The Arts and Crafts Competition is open to all interested parties, youth and adults alike. 4-H Club members will be allowed to make exhibits in any class
under their age division or in the 4H division. To enter your art or craft, please read and complete the Arts and Crafts Entry Form with Rules and Regulations.

Highlights and Special Awards

Department A: Produce

Highlights:

  • Bring extra produce on August 24 which will be donated to the Chesterfield Master Gardeners Plant a Row for the Hungry Program. Donations of produce are given to partner organizations such as sevatruck RVA, Caritas, and A Place of Miracles Café which turn the produce in to fresh nutritious meals to feed the hungry in Chesterfield and RVA.

Department B: Culinary

Highlights:

  • VA Egg Council – Five Star Dessert Bars contest: Prepare your best recipe for Dessert bars and bring a plate of them to the fair on Saturday, Aug. 26 at 1 p.m.  Get contest tips and rules at virginiaeggcouncil.org/events. The top three winning recipes get special gifts from the VA Egg Council and become eligible to compete in the Five Star Dessert Bars Finals at the State Fair of Virginia, Sept. 30. 

Special Awards:

  • Montana Gold Bread has donated a $50 gift card which will be awarded to a culinary entry selected at random.

Department C: Canned Goods

Highlights:

  • Remember, both adults and youth can enter into the Canned Goods department just check the age category on the entry form.

Department D – Flowers

Highlights:

  • Remember, both adults and youth can enter the Flowers department just check the age category on the entry form.

Special Awards:

  • Annie Ruth’s has donated a $50 gift card which will be awarded to an adult entry selected at random.

Department E – Needle Arts

Highlights:

  • Quilts! Remember, Quilts are due Tuesday, Aug. 22 from 5 – 8 p.m. We will be displaying quilts differently this year following the State Fair by hanging quilts from the ceiling so we will need additional time to hang them. 

Special Awards:

  • Material Things has donated a quilt kit that will be awarded to an adult quilt entry randomly selected.
  • Material Things has also donated a $10 gift card to each youth quilt or sewing entry. The gift cards need to be used within 30 days of the date on the card. 

Department F: Crafts

Highlights:

  • Crafts entry form is for both adults and youth. Please check on the entry form the age category.

Special Awards:

  • Books a Million has donated a $20 gift card which will be awarded to a youth entry randomly selected.

 Department G: Art and Photography

Highlights:

  • Remember, both adults and youth can enter into the Art and Photography department. Check the age category on the entry form.

Department H – 4-H/Youth Club Poster/Exhibit

Highlights:

  • 4-H youth can enter into any category (Departments A- H). Please check 4-H on the entry form and bring to the 4-H area for judging.

Chesterfield County Youth Poultry Show will be held on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023 at 10 a.m. Please complete and submit the Consent and Release Form and Poultry Show Entry Form.

Please complete and submit the Consent and Release Form, along with the registration fee of $6 per chicken entered Make registration fee checks payable to “Chesterfield County Fair Association”. A fee may occur for insufficient funds returned to CCFA. Send to address
