Membership Information

When you become a member of Chesterfield County Fair Association, not only will you be joining a special group of people who are dedicated to continuing the County’s rich history of providing a top-notch fair experience, but you will also be honoring the rural roots of Chesterfield County.

2022 Annual Dues – *Must be paid by July 31, 2022 – $10 per person

Officer Information

Per the By-laws of our Association, the officers (president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer) are elected by the members of the Association at our annual meeting toward the end of the year. The officers serve for a period of one year commencing January 1st of each year. If you would like to be considered for one of these positions, please contact us at info@chesterfieldcountyfair.org and a member of the Nominating Committee will get in touch with you.

General Information

  • Must be a member of the Fair Association.
  • Must be a resident of one of the following municipalities or counites of Amelia, Charles City, Chesterfield, Colonial Heights, Dinwiddie, Goochland, Henrico, Hopewell, Petersburg, Powhatan, Prince George, and Richmond.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older prior to taking office.
  • Application must be received between January 1 and September 15 for any opening occurring in any given year.
  • Applications will not be held over from year to year.
  • Directors will be elected for a term of three (3) years at which time a new application must be submitted.
  • No two (2) members of the same family shall hold a position on the Board of Directors at the same time.

Expectations of Directors:

  • Attend regularly scheduled meetings and special called meeting throughout the year.
  • Help sell ads, help distribute entertainment guides, poster and help obtain sponsorships.
  • Serve on or chair assigned committees.
  • Participate in work weekends (1 or 2 a year).
  • Participate in set-up/clean-up of the fair.
  • Participate in the daily activities of running the nine-day fair.
